Slovakia, First Republic. A Rare Freiwillige Schutzstaffel Sleeve Eagle-This machine embroidered silver gray eagle sits on an olive green badge cloth. This is the  third pattern. This patch shows the national eagle clutching a shield overlaid by a mobile swastika. This is a rare insignia worn by members of the Freiwillige Schutzstaffel (Voluntary Protection Corps/FS). This in unissued and near excellent.

History: The Freiwillige Schutzstaffel was a paramilitary organization established in late 1938 within the Slovak Republic during WW2. This organization served as the armed wing of the German Party and was composed of volunteers from the ethnic German minority (Carpathian Germans) living in Slovakia.
