The Kalender der Deutschen Arbeit 1938-This is an original 1938 Calendar of German Labor. It was an official annual publication by the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF). This 176-page book combined a standard 1938 datebook with National Socialist propaganda, essays on labor, and advertisements for German businesses. There is a patriotic foreword by Dr. Robert Ley (Reichsorganisationsleiter) alongside chapters from various party officials outlining the role of DAF in society. Published on the eve of World War II, it included chapters discussing "social progress," the "destiny of the German nation," and the incorporation of Austria following the Anschluss. The cover shows an industrial motif on an orange softcover, with the DAF cogwheel and the date 1938 in the lower right corner. The softcover shows some scuffing. The spine is slightly damaged. The book is fragile but in good condition.
