Third Reich Land Customs Official Ensemble Including Tunic and Visor Cap-This hard to find grouping consists of a service tunic and a visor cap, each for a land customs official with the rank of “zollinspektor”, which would be equivalent to a lieutenant. The tunic is produced in field grey wool that has minor wear, minor fading and minor discoloration. There is a six button closure and all buttons are field grey finished pebbled metal. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. Both edges of the closure seam are piped in green. There is a green badge cloth collar. It has green badge cloth collar tabs with silver bullion rank insignia and trim. There are slip on shoulder boards that have a bright silver flat wire face which is intertwined with green cloth. Each has an “RSV” cipher in gilt metal. The RSV (Reichsfinanzverwaltung) was the Reich Finance Administration, which oversaw the Customs Service (Zolldienst) in the Third Reich. There are ribbons in the button hole for the WWII EKII and the Russian Front medal. The left breast pocket has loops for two awards, the ones shows are included and are a black wound badge and an KVKI with swords. Also included and in original loops is a three medal bar. Medals are the WWI EK, the Bavarian Military Merit Cross, 3rd Class w/swords and the WWI Hindenburg medal for combatants. This tunic also includes a great looking customs service cuff title in green with silver flat wire piping and eagle. This has a set of belt hooks included. The tunic is partially lined in golden brown rayon. There is a pocket on the left side as well as a bandage pocket on the lower right. Inside the larger pocket is an ink stamp with a tailor name. The tunic is a size medium. The visor cap was produced by Robert Lubstein a.k.a. eReL. It is produced in soft, field grey doeskin wool. There is minor wear, minor tracking, minor discoloration and a few small nips in the wool. The owner removed the top stiffening ring so this is very flexible and has a great look. The green piping is seen around the top panel as well as at the upper and lower edges of the green badge cloth center band. The insignia retains a majority of the silver finish with the exception of the cockade, which has a finish that is just partially intact. The chin cord is silver bullion with green stripes. The visor is black leather, which remains soft and supple with minor fading and significant crazing. The interior is fully lined in green rayon. There is moderate wear and discoloration to the interior. The rhomboid shaped moisture shield is mostly intact with the maker nomenclature visible. There is a brown leather sweatband that has some tears and other wear plus an owner added set of ventilation holes. The back lower section of the cap has some wear and separation. Overall, a solid piece that is quite attractive!

Please note that any "accessories" (i.e. medals, badges, belts etc.) are NOT included unless stated in description!
