Third Reich NSKK 2nd Pattern Crash Helmet-This is the black fiber helmet used by NSKK personnel. There is black leather padding around the perimeter and running front to back. This is soft, supple with some scuffing, wear, crazing and fading. Each side of the helmet has a single mesh ventilation grommet, one has a small hole. The black leather visor is in good condition, a little loose and stiff with some visible crazing. The insignia is zinc and missing a majority of the finish. One of the mounting prongs is missing so it is loosely attached. The black leather ear and neck flaps are present. There is heavy wear but they are still very soft. The black finish is worn and the chinstrap is missing the end with the holes. There is a black finished metal roller buckle. The light brown leather liner is excellent, being marked with the size 57 and having a drawstring. It is maker marked with the eReL logo in silver. There is some minor discoloration only. A sound example overall!
