Trench Art Ashtray-This ashtray is made from a German 50cm anti-tank shell. This veteran marked this for Italy, Sicily and North Africa. The center of the ashtray has a 5 lire Italian coin featuring the profile of King Vittorio Emanuaele III. The inscription VITTORIO EMANVELE III RE D’ITALIA can be read around the edge. The bottom of the shell is very well marked and dated 1940. It also has a waffenamt as well. This is a very well made, and interesting ashtray. A cool piece to add to your trench art collection.
