US WWII Army Officer Cap-This is a beautiful private purchase. This cap is made of a gorgeous high quality olive green felt which is excellent. The olive green waffled center band is also excellent. The nicely toned bronze insignia is strong and shows excellent detailing. The dark brown patent leather visor is excellent and shows only slight wear. The chin strap is the same dark brown patent leather, and secured at the sides with two gold buttons. This goes as far as the back of the cap where it is secured with a buckle. The inside side lining is a yellow silk. The upper lining is a golden brown material, that contains the maker’s name of Blackers, Young Men’s Shop of Petersburg, Virginia. This is a great cap.
