Veteran Bring Back German WWI High Rank Forestry Buckle By Assmann & Sohne-
This is an excellent looking forestry officials belt buckle. It is round, featuring the national eagle in the center surrounded by a large oak leaf wreath. The field behind the eagle is pebbled. This is made of stamped aluminum, and would be worn on a dress uniform. This is marked on the reverse for F. W. Assmann & Sohne. Please be aware that someone has glued the keepers in place, probably for display purposes, but we are unclear why they would do this. Please be sure to look at the photos to see the glue. This is too bad, since this buckle is in mint condition otherwise. We purchased this buckle from the family of a veteran who brought it home. We will supply the name of this soldier to the buyer.
