Veteran Bring Back German WWII Lot of 4 Postcards and 1 Photo from Battle of Crete-This is a very interesting lot. This set of postcards that were commonly sold after the battle of Crete. These show German paratroopers jumping into Crete. This set was taken off of a dead German paratrooper by a British soldier who was also fighting in Crete. Some of the postcards also have captions or descriptions written by the veteran himself. Four of the postcards measure 4 ½ inches (11.43 cm) long and 3 ½ inches (8.89 cm) tall. The very small photo of the port in Crete measures 3 ¼ inches (8.25cm) long by 2 ¼ inches (5.71cm) tall. This is a very interesting, rare find, in very good condition.
