Veteran Bring Back German WWII War Merit Cross Medal w/Packet-A handsome example with correct, original ribbon. This was awarded to recognize service by civilians, both German and non-German, in connection with the war effort, and was mostly awarded to people working in war factories. It is in bronze with a design of the War Merit Cross on the obverse and the inscription “Für Kreigs Verdienst 1939”, “For War Merit 1939”, on the reverse. There is a portion of original ribbon that is slightly faded from storage, but is in very good condition. The original packet is included, it is maker marked on the reverse. The packet shows some tearing on the front flap, but is overall in very good shape. We were able to purchase this from a US veteran. We will supply the buyer with the name of this soldier.
