WWII German “Armistice” Sword for Army Officer-Maker Paul Weyersberg, Solingen. The slightly curved blade is nickel-plated with the manufacturer’s logo on the ricasso. The gilted brass lion head-style hilt has beautiful red glass eyes, and the obverse languet depicts the armistice eagle in flight clutching laurel leaves.  The backstrap, knuckle bow and ferrule are decorated with leaf pattern. There is a black celluloid grip with brass wire wrap. The blade is etched with crossed sabers on obverse, and crossed cannons on reverse. The blade washer is intact. The black anodized scabbard retains approximately 95% plus finish, and exhibits minor age/wear. Overall, this measures approximately 38 1/2”, and the blade 32 ¼”.  Overall, very good!
