WWII German Army Model 1935 Single Decal Reissue Helmet-This helmet was reissued for use by the army for combat. It now has a dark green, brushed on combat finish that remains 95%+ intact. The left side has a nicely toned army decal that remains mostly intact. It is the original decal as you can clearly see that they painted around it. Inside is the original size stamped 57 brown leather liner. The liner remains in very nice condition, with minor wear and discoloration from use and age. It has the name of the soldier written onto it. There is a reinforced aluminum liner band that is dated 1940, maker marked and size stamped 64/57. The side of the interior is stamped EF 64 indicating production by Emaillerwerke of Fulda in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 4566 with a 3 stamped underneath the 4. Very interesting! There is also a really nice but slightly shortened dark brown leather chinstrap. A great example!
