WWII German Army Model 1942 Single Decal Helmet-This combat example has a dark field grey finish that remains 80% intact overall. The veteran applied a shellac to the shell to protect it; this is visible but mostly missing. The decal is very nice, a bit toned and checking in at a solid 90% intact. The tan leather liner is a bit stiff with some minor wear and discoloration. There are two tiny pieces missing at the end of two of the tongues. It is a size 57 and there is a zinc liner band that is maker marked and dated 1940. The rear skirt is stamped hkp 64 indicating production by Sachsische Emaillerwerke in the size of 64. The rear skirt is also stamped with the lot number 2104 indicating production some time in late 1942. There is a tiny scrap of the chinstrap remaining. Very good condition overall!
