WWII German Army Model 1942 Single Decal Helmet with Full Basket Chicken Wire-This example has a full basket chicken wire that has been on it forever. This is evident where the wire meets the finish and shows a lot of wear. The helmet itself has a field grey finish that remains approximately 75% intact. The left side has an army decal that is heavily worn and basically only the base level of the decal remains. Inside, there is a size 57 pig skin liner that shows moderate wear and discoloration from use. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band. The side of the interior is stamped EF 64 indicating production by Emaillerwerke of Fulda in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 1281. There is a full length brown leather chinstrap that has shrunk a bit. A great original example!
