WWII German Army Panzer Standard Bearer Sleeve Patch-This is an excellent, unissued example. The patch is machine woven (BeVo) in three colors: aluminum thread (flat wire), black thread (panzer branch color). These are all woven onto a thin, dark green rayon backing cloth. The insignia portrays two crossed Standards in miniature, with a cluster of oak leaves in aluminum thread woven at the bottom center. This very colorful and desirable patch would be worn on the right shoulder of the one person in the unit that was designated to carry the regimental standarte (flag). This patch is very clean, and in excellent condition!
