WWII German Army Rabbit Fur Winter Cap-This is produced in field grey wool that has minor wear and discoloration throughout. The rabbit fur is a combination of light and dark browns. It appears that the flaps and bill were stitched to the body at some point (some of it still is). There are cloth ties to keep the ear flaps together, these show some wear. This example never had insignia. The interior is fully lined in a pleated golden brown rayon that is in fine condition. There is a maker ink stamped onto the liner along with the date of manufacture, 1943 and the size, 55. A good example overall!
