WWII German Army Wehrpaß-This book was issued to an Ernst, with a last name I just can’t make out. He was born on January 5th, 1919. This book was issued on March 2, 1939. He was assigned to the Gebirgsjäger (Mountain Infantry), 139th Regiment on March 11th 1939, and ended up with the 3rd RDf Batt. 403rd in 1940. He was promoted from Sergeant to 1st Lt. He was killed near Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia on September 11th, 1941. There are several entries in this book, and it would make for a fun research project.
