WWII German Joystick for Luftwaffe Messerschmitt ME 109 (Bf 109) or FW-190-This one is missing a few things but still a great example. It is produced in aluminum, with a black finish that is only partially intact. There is a synthetic rubber material added for grip to the handle where the pilots hand would be. There were a total of four buttons (all made of a brown bakelite, one missing), the one on the left side top of the handle is an on/off (this one is missing), while the other three offer a direct action when engaged (for the guns). The front button is activated by a lever; when pulled, the lever pushes against and activates the button. The front center of the handle had a cover which is missing. The back side has a data plate which includes the model number (KG 13 b) and manufacturers information. This includes the LW FL #47919, the device number 102-288b, the manufacturer ordnance “ngk” for Luftfahrt-Apparatebau GmbH, Berlin and the work number 28646. This will make for a great display piece!
