WWII German Kriegsmarine Vice Admiral Ensemble including Tunic, Breeches and Visor Cap-This grouping is a real stunner! Let’s start with the tunic, which is produced in navy blue wool that is extremely soft, very clean and shows little to no visible wear. It is double breasted with two rows of five gold naval anchor buttons. There are internal hip pockets with straight flaps. There is a handkerchief pocket on the left side. The shoulders are lightly padded. Each cuff has a single, 15mm wide gold tresse plus two more that measure 15mm each. Just above each is a handsome, gold bullion star. The fantastic breast eagle is toned gold bullion with bright gold highlights over navy blue wool. There is a single set of loops on the right breast plus 3 more on the left. There are also holes where a smaller badge was pinned through and lets not forget the loops for a huge medal or ribbon bar. The interior is fully lined in blue rayon that is excellent. There are pockets on each side plus a smaller pocket on the left as well. The tunic is a large size. The breeches are produced in the same navy blue wool as the tunic. They are extremely clean and damage free. The lower legs have tie closures. There are slash type hip pockets, a single buttoned rear pocket and a watch fob pocket. There is a large cinch strap at the rear. There is a four button fly with a single button at the waist. There are buttons for the suspenders etc. The waist is a size 32 and these measure 36” in length. The visor cap is a stunner as well. It is produced in blue grey wool that is excellent. The piping is the same color as the rest of the body. There is a black ribbed center band and a black patent leather chinstrap. The insignia will make your jaw drop! It is ALL bullion; eagle, wreath, cockade, everything and it is outstanding. The top of the black leather visor is lined in blue badge cloth. There are thick, beautifully toned oak leave that represent the rank of vice admiral. WOW! The interior is fully lined in blue rayon that is in great condition with minor discoloration and wear. There is a diamond shaped moisture shield. The sweatband is brown leather and in great condition. This set is a showstopper!
