WWII German Luftwaffe Flight/Paratrooper Visor Cap-This is for other ranks personnel. It is a private purchase example produced in very soft blue grey wool that is in great condition, remaining very clean and damage free. The top panel along with the upper and lower edges of the black ribbed center band are piped in yellow for flight or paratrooper personnel. The insignia consists of silver finished aluminum droop tail eagle and one piece winged cockade and wreath. The chinstrap is black patent leather. There is minor wear and discoloration. The visor is black vulkanfibre, showing minor crazing and fading only. The underside is crosshatched and finished in green. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon. There is minor discoloration and wear only. The moisture shield is missing. There is a maker motto featuring an eagle with the word “Erstklassig”, this is over a stylized monogram with the letters “CW” for Clemens Wagner. The sweatband is orange brown leather that remains soft and supple with minor wear. The cap is a size 56. This is a great looking example overall!
