WWII German Luftwaffe Flyer's Cap with Avionics- This is an example of the winter cap and has a body of soft brown leather that is very clean. The brown leather ear phones are in great condition. The brown leather strap with the throat microphone is in excellent condition and is fully intact. The avionics cord is present and complete but detached from the cap unfortunately. The oval earphones are fleece padded. The translucent plastic earphone covers (beneath the fleece) are marked “Ln 26602”. There is a nomenclature tag at the rear of the helmet that is nicely marked with the Baumuster (Model type) LkpW101, and a reddish-pink ink Luftwaffe acceptance stamp which is blurred as is the size. It fits like a 56. The description of the cap is listed as “Fl. Kopfhaube”. The manufacturer is Deutsche Telephonwerke und Kabelindustrie A.G. This is in very good condition overall!
