WWII German Luftwaffe Model 1935 Double Decal Helmet-This example has some minor pitting throughout the blue grey finished exterior. It still looks good and the finish is 70% intact. Both the Luftwaffe decal and the tri color shield are at least 80% intact. Inside is a size stamped 60 (BIG!) brown leathger liner that is in really great condition, remaining soft and supple. There is a drawstring and a reinforced aluminum liner band that is maker stamped, dated 1939 and size stamped 68/60. The side of the interior is stamped Q 68 indicating production by Quist in the size of 68. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 4630 indicating early 1940 production. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 21441 (this is seen on some late production Q’s). There is a portion of the original chinstrap in place. A solid example overall!
