WWII German Luftwaffe Model 1935 Double Decal Helmet-This is an untouched, out of the woodwork example. The blue grey, smoothly applied finish remains 60% or so intact. The left side has a Luftwaffe eagle decal which is worn but still looks great. The right side has a tri color shield that is about 75% intact. The brown leather liner is a bit stiff with lots of discoloration but only minimal wear or scuffing. There is a reinforced aluminum liner band and a drawstring. The band is maker marked, dated 1939 and size stamped 64/57. The side of the interior is stamped Q 64 indicating production by Quist in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 4682. Also seen is the number 463 in white. This may be a rack number or something else. There is a brown leather chinstrap that is also quite dirty and shows wear. A very nice example overall!
