WWII German Luftwaffe Model 1940 Single Decal Combat Helmet-This example has a rough texture, blue grey finish that remains 80% intact overall. The left side has a Luftwaffe decal that checks in at the same 80% intact. Inside is a tan leather, size stamped 57 liner that is in near excellent condition, with just minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band. The side of the interior is stamped hkp 64 indicating production by Sachsische Emaillerwerke in the size of 64. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 972 indicating production sometime in late 1941. The unusual marking is something not encountered often so it is a neat characteristic!
