WWII German Luftwaffe Model 1940 Single Decal Helmet-This is a choice example in every way. The rough texture, blue grey finish remains nearly fully intact. The Luftwaffe decal remains nearly fully intact as well with a few small stains only. The tan leather, size stamped 58 leather liner is excellent, literally as new. There is a drawstring and a zinc liner band that is maker marked, dated 1942 and size stamped 66/58. The side of the interior is stamped Q 66 indicating production by Quist in the size of 66. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number T 1483. There is a dark brown leather chinstrap that is excellent and maker marked/dated 1942. A choice piece!
