WWII German Model 1940 Army Camouflage Helmet-This is a great looking, very late war combat helmet with a splotchy tan camouflage finish that has been applied. The finish remains mostly intact and looks great. The interior features a tan leather liner that is fully intact. It is a size 57 and is a bit stiff, with minor wear, discoloration and scuffing from use and age. Check out the string that the GI added to help hang it up for display! There is a zinc liner band and a drawstring. The rear skirt is stamped Q 64 indicating production by Quist in the size of 64. The rear skirt is also stamped with the lot number DN521 indicating production in mid to late 1944 so very late for sure. The original brown leather chinstrap is included but it is broken and fragile. A great example overall!
