WWII German Model 1943 Army Panzer Field Cap with Traditions Badge-This cap has a traditions badge for the 116th Panzer Division. It was damaged when we purchased it so we simply glued it back together. This cap definitely saw some use! It is produced in soft black wool. There is some wear and discoloration. The bill has the typical “fold” in it. The side flaps terminate at the front with two zinc pebbled buttons which has a portion of the original black finish intact. There is no damage to the cap and no holes. This has the special "T" type BeVo eagle and cockade. It is hand applied and not the best stitching job I've ever encountered but the wear to the insignia gives me a good feeling that it's original to the cap. This belief is compounded by the reliable source of this cap. The interior definitely shows signs of use! There is no damage but there is a lot of discoloration and stains. It is gold rayon. There is an ink stamped RBNr, the date 1943 and the size, 56. A very desirable cap!
