WWII Japanese Hinomaru “Meatball” Flag for Issue to Bureau of Screen Printing- Here is a different Japanese flag for you! Stylized for the national flag of Japan with kanji translating to Screen Printing Bureau Issue. The lettering and sun are definitely screen printed on. The printing bleeds through mirroring to the other side. It is made of a bunting material. There is discoloration and some staining. The edges are rough cut on three sides. The center of the sun is split from being folded for many years. See photo. It measures a small 13” (33cm) x 28” (11cm). Likely a missing piece from most collections.
