WWII US Dual Unit Ike Jacket for a Staff Sergeant-This dual unit example is in fine condition overall. It is produced in a greenish shade of olive drab. It has a four button closure and all buttons are brown bakelite. The waist button is broken. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The left sleeve has a staff sergeant chevron plus the unit patch for the 6th Armored Division. The left sleeve also has two gold stripes for 1 year of overseas service and a slash for the Combat Infantryman Badge. The right sleeve has a 26th Infantry Yankee Division sleeve patch plus another corporals chevron. There is a “Ruptured Duck” patch above the right breast pocket. The left collar disc is for infantry and the right is the standard US. There are D.I.’s on each lapel for the 101st Infantry Regiment. There are three separate ribbon bars, Victory Medal, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Device, Distinguished Service, E.A.M.E. with 3 Stars, American Defense and Good Conduct. The interior is fully lined in green cotton. There is a pocket on each side. The right side has a tailor tag with the date August 28, 1944. The tailor is Phoenix Clothes and the size is 41L. There is a size tag in the neck. We know the name of the veteran and will supply it to the buyer. Awesome!
