 WWII US Dual Unit Ike Jacket for a Tech Sergeant-This dual unit example is in fine condition overall. It is produced in a greenish shade of olive drab. It has a four button closure and all buttons are brown bakelite. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The left sleeve has a tech sergeant chevron that is applied in a beautiful zig zag type stitch. There is also a unit patch for the 3rd Army, complete with metal “ball” piping which makes it really stand out. The left sleeve also has four METAL stripe devices for 2 years of overseas service and a slash for the Combat Infantryman Badge. The right sleeve has a 5th Army Corps sleeve patch (with the same metal ball piping) plus another rank chevron applied in the same manner as the one on the left. There is also a Meritorious Unit Citation patch. There is a “Ruptured Duck” patch above the right breast pocket. The left collar disc is for signals corps and the right is the standard US. The interior is fully lined in tan cotton. There is a pocket on each side. The right side has a tailor tag with the date May 30, 1944. The tailor is Jersey Coat Co., Inc. and the size is 40R. There is a size tag in the neck. Special!
