WWII US M-1 Helmet-This is a fixed bale, front seam example. The fixed straps were replaced at some point with VN era straps. There are some dings and dents in the shell and the finish is partially intact. The liner is an MSA (Mine Safety Appliance) produced example from WWII. The exterior finish is partially intact. It has a white rayon suspension that is discolored and shows minor wear. The laundry number of the veteran is seen in large, bold digits, XG-5550. A small strip of the brown leather chinstrap is all that remains. The veterans name is Preston T. Garrett and his photo is shown in the pics. A good example overall!
