WWII US M-1 Helmet with Reissue 2nd Cavalry Painted Liner-This is a WWII issue helmet and liner that was used and issued to the 2nd Cavalry Division for use in Korea. It was for the 23rd Infantry regiment which saw a lot of action during that conflict. The exterior of the shell is in fine condition aside from an extremely small dent in the front. The finish remains mostly intact. It is a front seam, fixed bale example with tan canvas chinstrap that has steel hardware. The liner is produced by MSA and as mentioned, has been painted and decaled for use in the KW. The inside is quite worn, with discoloration and a missing headband. This includes the tan suspension and dark colored leather sweatband. The brown leather chinstrap is also missing. A good overall example!
