German WWII Signed Photo of Knights Cross Winner Adolf Vogt-Vogt was the commander of 12th company of the Grenadier-Regiment 1054, a unit of the German Wehrmacht that was formed in November 1944 and was part of the 352th Infanterie-Division. The regiment was the primary infantry element of the division and served in various major battles, including the Battle of Normandy. This regiment was actually developed to replace a regiment that had been destroyed during the battle of Normandy.  Adolf Vogt, was an Oberleutnant (First Lieutenant), commanded the 12th Company and was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross for his bravery during the German retreat from France in late 1944. The regiment was destroyed in the Eifel region in 1945. Adolf went on to survive the war, and died in 1992 in Sindolsheim Germany. This is a signed black and white photo of Vogt. The signature is rather light, but readable. There is also a handwritten note and another signature on the reverse. The photo measures 5 ½ inches (13.97cm) long and 4 inches cm) wide. It is in very good condition. It comes with the original mailing envelope. Very good overall.
