German WWII Signed Photo of Knights Cross Winner Reymann Hellmuth- Reymann was a Generalleutnant of the 212th Infantry division. This division was part of army group north and was based in Northern Russia. From 43-44 he was transferred to the 13th air force field division, which suffered heavy losses in the retreat from Leningrad, and was disbanded in 1944. Reymann then commanded the 11th Infantry Division. In October 1944, Reymann's division was encircled in the Courland Pocket, and he was replaced by General Gerhard Feyerabend. In 1945 he was one of the last commanders tasked with the defense of Berlin as the Soviets were at the door and everyone was fleeing the city. A very interesting story to read. This photo is signed by Reymann, in blue pen at the lower margin of the photo. The photo is in very good condition. The photo is a big, larger format, measuring 6 inches (15.24cm) wide and 3 ½ inches (8.89cm) tall. It is in very good condition. An interesting person.
