WWII German Photo Signed by Panzer Knights Cross Recipient Andreas Thaler- Andreas Thaler, is a distinguished Panzer officer and commander of the 7th Panzer Division. This division was an armored formation of the German Army in World War II. It participated in the Battle of France, the invasion of the Soviet Union, the occupation of Vichy France, and on the Eastern Front until the end of the war. The 7th Panzer Division is also known by its nickname, the Ghost Division. Thaler was awarded the knights cross on January 13th, 1944. This is a typed letter, with a signed black and white photo of our handsome soldier. The photo measures approx. 4 ½ inches (11.43cm) long and 3 ½ inches (8.89cm) wide and is in very good condition. The front of the photos is signed in blue ink, and there is a little note from Thaler on the reverse side in blue pen as well.
